Fenris is confident in his abilities, but is not cocky or dumb in any way. This is shown by how he recognizes that the silk string is a trap, but makes a deal that lets him bite off Tyr’s hand. The gods are also shown to be very humane, as they are incredibly scared by Fenris, since he will kill Odin and has incredible strength. Weighing their options and deciding someone losing their hand was better than someone dying took a lot of courage, and it gave them the peace of mind they wanted.

I knew that Tyr lost his hand but I did not know that this was how. Also, I find it interesting how different the children of Loki were despite the fact that they had humanoid parents. I think that the gods were justified in tricking Fenris though it is sad that Tyr had to suffer. Also, I think that Fenris’ binding is his fault especially because he suspected that it was a trick and agreed anyway.

Some parts of it were a little confusing but then everything is cleared up as you continue reading. I liked how the whole story was about the gods trying to bound this very strong dog. I also liked how they incorporated Loki and talked about his home life in both Asgard and Jotunheim. I also loved how the gods never gave up. When Fenris kept breaking the chains, the gods kept trying and eventually they asked the dwarves for help and they finally succeeded, even though one giant, Tyr lost one of his hands.

I believe that the gods should have been a little more powerful compared to the wolf. It was also a little all over the place and slightly difficult to understand what was happening. I also found it interesting that the story was told from the gods’ point of view. Overall, the ending was good and the wolf got what it deserved thought he story was weird to follow.
