I really liked Sigurd’s background and how he became a brave prince. I also liked how Regin betrayed him after knowing him for so long. It seemed that the dragon’s heart gave him some sort of special power. It also seemed that Regin and Fafnir were quite alike.

I liked Sigurd and Odin in the story best provably. Regin seemed like he could’ve been better had there been more buildup. Essentially, this was a good story, simplified. It would have been better had it been longer and in more detail most likely. The myth also doesn’t really mean much or provide much insight, it’s just a story, plain and simple.

The story was good, but a little aggressive in some parts. The characters and plot was one to remember. The details makes you really picture what’s happening. The dragon was the main character and my favorite character.

I read it to my Mummy and we both laughed, especially when we got to the description of the dragon (with the yucky giant snail trail and the caravan sized dung pile – yuck!). It did take a bit of a gruesome turn at the end though which wasn’t so nice.

Likes: I liked it when Sigurd was allowed to pick a horse of his choice from the stables! Wow, how lucky was he?

Dislikes: The ending was a bit too violent for my liking but the rest was good.

Funny: The dragon dung (ha, ha, ha…)!! πŸ˜€
